Dear passionate explorer, we're grateful that you're one of the first people to try our trail food out in the wild where it belongs. We want to create a tasty menu for you with meals intended to be served and enjoyed outdoors in nature.

Mission

We connect the local farmers here in Armeniș with nature-friendly consumers such as yourself.

Responsibility

The majority of our ingredients are sourced hyper-locally and we strive to have sustainable packaging which can be reused or recycled.

Instant potato crouton soup with tarragon and porc collar flakes

Slow-cooked lamb stew, with dried plums and apples

Bulgur with greens and dry tomatoes

Oat granola with butter, honey, dried fruit, and salty roasted walnuts

Lunch

Instant smoked trout soup, with mushrooms, root vegetables, and noodles

Snack

Savory energy bar with oats, mushrooms, garlic honey, seeds

Egg meringues with heritage apples

Dinner

Mashed peas, lentils, and wild mint

Veal jerky macerated in vinegar, sunflower oil, and coriander

Porridge or polenta with mushrooms and cheese

Dried cherry tomatoes

Lunch

Instant tomato soup with semolina and egg dumplings, fennel, and parsley

Snack

Sweet energy bar with oats, walnuts, dry plums, and seeds

Cauliflower risotto

Stir fried green beans with garlic

Chicken breast jerky with paprika and garlic

Roasted pumpkin with coriander

Porridge or polenta with mushrooms and cheese

As rewarding as it is to spend time outdoors, we know that this sometimes comes at the expense of tasty meals. So whether you’re on a day trip through nature or a multi-day expedition in the wilderness, our trail food is light but tasty and nutritious, giving you the energy boost you need to seize each day.

Meals come pre-packaged for each day so that you can spend more time immersed in nature and less time having to worry about what and when to eat. We source all ingredients mindfully and as locally as possible to create a culinary experience for all tastes and dietary preferences.

FAQ

We tried to cover as many of your questions as possible below, however should there be any crucial information you're missing, just get in touch and let us know.

Some of the food is ready to eat straight out of the bag (e.g. power bars, meringues) while others might require a bit of cooking. Don't worry, you don't need anything other than:

  • Water
  • Fire (e.g. gas burner or campfire)
  • Cooking pot
  • Spoon
  • Bowl (optional)

Important! Never use the bags themselves for preparing your meal. Always pour the contents into a cooking pot.

Depending on the type of food itself, some might be eatable as is (e.g. energy bars) while other might need to be re-hydrated. Make sure to check the label for instructions, but don't worry, it's as easy as boiling water:

  1. Bring water to a boil in a pot
  2. Add contents of a bag to boiling water
  3. Let it simmer for a couple of minutes
  4. Take of fire
  5. Pour into bowls or eat directly from the pot
  6. Enjoy!

Our meals come pre-seasoned according to our recipes, but you are of course welcome to add your own extra spices or seasoning based on personal preferance.

Each bag comes prepackaged with enough food for one meal either for an individual or a group, giving you the optimal nutrition and caloric intake. We recommend using the entire bag for each meal.

Group meals are currently packaged in reused bags from our coffee supplier, and you can reuse them yourself 1-2 more times (e.g. for storage/organizing). Packaging for individual meals can also be reused a few times as long as the zip-lock works. 

If you don't have a use for the bags, just bring them back with you and recycle them responsibly. We are currently looking for a partner that can supply us with fully reusable bags for all our meals.

Depending the type of food and how you store it until taking it out on the trail, our meals will still be good for several weeks to over a month. Until you hit the trail we recommend storing everything in a cool, dry place.
