At the foothills of Romania’s Țarcu Mountains, we bring people closer to wild nature in a rewilding landscape with over 190 free-roaming bison. On 17 May 2014, 17 bison from breeding centers in Europe, seeded the comeback of this keystone species in the South Western Carpathians. The European bison are thriving here, really helping rewild.
